It's my life

Hello everyone,

and welcome to another project made with the lovely UmWow Chippies...
I have made an art journal page today and this is what it looks like :

And here's what I did with the chipboards:

I glued some of the Square Confetti pieces on a piece of Mixed Media Paper and gave them a coat of gesso.

Next I added some model paste through this UmWow Stencil.

This is what that looked like.

Next paint. I used Titan Buff and Translucent Yellow Iron Oxide by Deco Art.

Here's the result. I thinned the yellow down a little with water, applied it to the page and then spritzed it with water to get drips.

Next some Stabilo pencil to grunge it up a little...

Love the result...

And here is the finished page. I added some stamping and the main image was stamped on tissue paper and adhered with gel medium. I doodled around the edges of the page with a grey fine liner and that finished my project.

You can find the Square Confetti HERE

Stoppin' by with a QUICKIE

HEY! UmWowStudio Fans.....
Thanks for stopping by the blog to check out my quickie!
As I mentioned in my last post
LIFE has been OUT of CONTROL....lately!
Everything in me wants to create some deeply creative
work of art for the blog.....
but ALL i have time for lately is a QUICKIE!

The inspiration for this 'Tovers ATC was the "leftover"
stamped words, "OUR HEART",
which are part of a larger quote, and
the heart shaped piece of vintage embroidery.

I picked up a 'Tover ATC that I had made by soppin' up excess
Heavy Body Acrylic from a project I had completed previously.

Next, I went to my UmWowStudio bin and pulled out
a baggie with
I pulled out my tubes of paint and painted my hearts
with an ombre look.

Next,
a leftover piece of
burlap
wire mesh
and string
topped off with a wire spiral.

Hope you enjoyed my 'Tover Quickie!

I think this ATC will end up on the front of a card.

Thank You for stoppin' by!!!!!

Life can JUST get CRAZY

Smile Wall Hanging by Lynne Forsythe, UmWowStudio, The Crafter's Workshop, Canvas Corp Brands, Impression Obsession, Tattered Angels, Relics and Artifacts

Sometimes life JUST gets CRAZY!

Classes to be designed, kits to be made,
deadlines to make, dr. appointments, etc
and then your body chooses not to play along!
and the stress builds......
what does one do???
EVERYTHING....all at once!
I had 4 projects going on all over my studio.

Hi UmWowStudio fans....
Lynne Forsythe here with my slightly edgy creation,
definitely outside my creative box!
(which is a good thing)

My creation began with me trying some
"new to me" Black Modeling Paste.
I applied it through
an UmWowStudio ~ Damask Stencil

onto a Canvas Shape ~ Diamond,
which had been cut apart and folded over.

When dry, I spritzed the canvas shape with water and
with a round brush, applied a bit of Orange Glam
and let it wick into the canvas shape.

Staying with the "orange and black" color scheme
I pulled out a few
painted with Black Gesso and
Black Modeling Paste.
which I mixed Clear Modeling Paste with
Orange Glam, to create dimensional Poms.
I cut the chippies apart and nestled them into
the pocket behind the Visage,
which had been spritzed with Cornbread mist
and I dotted the eyes with a Sharpie.

I then accented the canvas shape with
pieces of a vintage zipper, buttons and trims
along with a bit of hand stitching.
I finished it off with a one of the Words for Art stamps,
Archival Ink and a bit of woven interfacing.

Find your tribe

Hello everyone,

Corrie here and I'd like to welcome you to my blogpost where today I am sharing the last tag of the scalloped tag book. I have all four done now.

Front

Back...

Here's how:

I used paint to add colour...

This is the result..

Adding some stamping..

Looking good, I think...

Heat embossing too !

Here's how that looks...

I added the x's later as I thought it needed something more. Next I added some Sari ribbon and a piece of pattern paper...

I used the same pattern paper to put the sentiment on.  Lastly I added the girl to the strip of pattern paper and ribbon. All stamps I use are by VivaLasVegaStamps!

Here are all 4 tags...

I used this chipboard tag book :
